     For mortgage brokers and loan officers, marketing your products and services can be done in a variety of ways. From business cards to mailers, to face to face meetings.Perhaps one of the trickiest methods of marketing ourselves and our mortgage products is over the telephone.

     The telephone offers many challenges. For starters the potential customer is unable to put a face with your name, which more often than not leads them to draw inferences based on the sound of your voice. This may or may not be a good thing.

      Also, these days everybody has caller id and has the option to screen your call should they not  be in the mood to discuss mortgages. Many times you can be left hanging with nothing but somebody’s voice mail and never have an opportunity to speak with your customer.However, voice mail can actually be considered a blessing in disguise. Here is where you have an opportunity to dangle a carrot in front of your customer.

     If you just so happen upon a voice mail while cold calling, don’t just leave your name, number, and the company you work for with a hint of disappointment in your voice, be sure to leave them with a reason to call you, make them wonder what you meant behind your message.

     Make Money with Google Adsense- Have you ever come across a website or blog that has ads on it? More than likely, those ads are run by Google Adsense. The website owner will partner with Google. Google then provides the website owner with some code to place on their site. This code will generate ads that are similar to the content on the site.

     Example: Say you have a blog about dieting. If you place the Adense code on your blog, the code will generate ads based on products related to dieting and weight loss. If one of your visitors clicks on the ad, you make a specific amount of money from these ads… even if they don’t buy anything.

     How much money can you make over the Internet with Adsense on your site? This depends on how many visitors you have and how many people view ads. The amount of money you get from each ad clicked is not released by Google. You can make anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars per click. Although the amount of money per click is small, this can add up quickly. Some people make thousands per month. The secret to making money from Adsense is to drive traffic to your site and to have your ad in a position where it is easily accessible.

     Make Money with Affiliate Programs- Affiliate programs are one of the most popular ways to make money off the Internet. It is very popular because there is virtually no investment to start a business as an affiliate marketer (as opposed to starting a brick and mortar business in the real world) Affiliate marketers promote other people’s merchandise. So this means affiliate marketers never have to keep merchandise in stock, shipping it, or dealing with customers one on one. The only job of the affiliate is to recommend products to people.
